Ya'ara Dolev
Ya'ara Dolev is a dancer, choreographer, Gaga teacher and founder of THE KEY, a dance-and-movement-based practice which combines Kaballah teachings of the Tree of Life with Gaga.
Born in Israel, Ya'ara studied ballet, and at age 19 joined the Batsheva Ensemble led by Ohad Naharin, founder of Gaga. She later formed her own dance company together with her partner Amit Goldenberg, teaching and performing worldwide. Ya'ara also studied at the Modern Mystery School in London, she lived in Berlin for many years, and is now based near Sintra in Portugal.
I met Ya'ara at the beginning of 2021 at an online dance festival. I joined her classes, and in August 2021 visited her in Portugal, where this interview was filmed.
